Mission of HEQAC

Higher Education Quality and Assessment Council has the following mission:

  1. Contribute to the improvement of quality and fostering of a quality culture.
  2. Encourage HEIs to develop their quality units.
  3. Encourage HEIs to implement strategic development, planning, and innovation.
  4. Enhance the standards and quality of independent further and higher education and training institutions.
  5. Enhance understanding of QA by providing a translation of the most important research into different languages.
  6. Help HEIs in the Middle East to apply quality and accreditation systems.
  7. Increase transparency of QA, and understanding of value and impact.
  8. Participates in creating and improving circles of certification, and accreditation of HEIs.
  9. Promotes international cultrue discussions related to quality assurance.
  10. Promotes the quality of education by developing appropriate standards and procedures that improve the quality systems of HEIs.
  11. Provides consultancy service.
  12. Provides a forum for discussion on quality assurance.
